What Is a Pulse Solenoid Valve?

A pulse solenoid valve is an electromechanical valve used to control the periodic injection of compressed air in pulse-jet dust-collection systems. When energized, the valve opens rapidly to release a short, powerful burst of compressed air into the pulse pipe, generating a shock wave that flexes the filter bags and dislodges the accumulated dust cake. When de-energized, the valve closes quickly and the cleaning cycle pauses until the next pulse.
