What Is a Baghouse Dust Collector?
A baghouse dust collector (also called a bag filter or fabric filter) is an air pollution control device that removes dust and particulate matter from flue gas and process exhaust. Dust-laden gas enters the hopper and rises into the filter chamber, where it passes through the filter bags. Dust is captured on the outer surface of the bags while clean gas is discharged through the top outlet. A pulse-jet system periodically injects high-pressure compressed air into the bags, causing the accumulated dust cake to fall into the hopper for discharge, keeping filtration performance stable over long-term operation.
